Dr Sunny has been working as a full-time GP for the last 4 years in Victoria. Prior to moving as GP he worked as an emergency medicine doctor in Sydney, NSW for 4 long years where he had vast experience in dealing with innumerable medical and surgical emergencies. He is interested in adolescent health, Men’s sexual health, woman and child health along with complex chronic disease management of elderly population in the community.
Dr Sunny is a keen researcher and successfully participated in a WHO project in collaboration with Bloomberg school of tropical medicine USA.
He is competent in various surgical procedures including skin cancer surgery, skin lesion checkup by Dermatoscope, Mental health consultations, general health screening and chronic pain management. He believes in holistic approach of medicine to stay healthy and love to enjoy his free time with family.
Dr Cathy has been a qualified GP since 1994 and trained in the USA as Paediatrician in 2005.
From 2002-2005 Dr Cathy was a Resident of Paediatrics at Mt Sini Medical; Centre in the USA. In 2010 Dr Cathy came to Australia and worked in Sunshine Hospital and Bendigo hospital in general medicine, emergency, Geriatrics, Palliative care, Rehab and Paediatrics. From 2015 Dr Cathy moved to Cairnlea Super clinic in Victoria as a GP and has recently relocated to our area with her family.

Dr Matthew Hoo is a fully qualified General Practitioner who has practiced medicine in Australia for the past 8 years. He is a graduate of the University of Melbourne who has served for 5 years in metropolitan Melbourne, and a further 3 years in general practice, serving the rural communities of North East Victoria and South NSW.
In this time he has had 4 years of training in adult medicine, giving him an appreciation of the complexities of diagnostic testing, the role of specialists and their pharmacological interventions. His 3 years of general practice in rural Australia has given him a broader approach to medicine where he has learnt to competently diagnose and manage many conditions where hospitals and specialists are not readily available.
He has a special interest in diagnostics, adult medicine, mental health, patient advocacy and preventative medicine. He is procedurally competent in performing skin cancer excisions, foreign body removals from eyes and ears and the management of simple fractures. Dr Ameen is skilled in managing chronic illness, children/women’s and mental health, along with trauma cases. He has a special Interest in Skin Cancer management and experienced in all skin cancer checkups, surgeries and able to complete necessary procedures for removal and appropriate management as required/
Dr Hamna Sahi is an Australian based Health professional. She has completed her specialist training at Peninsula Health, Eastern Health and Monash Health during her training and acquired a Fellowship in Respiratory Medicine with The Royal Australasian College of Physicians the in 2016.
Dr Sahi is an active member of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and European Respiratory Society member.
Her main specialty interests are asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, respiratory infections, bronchiectasis, chronic cough and lung mass diagnostics including imaging modalities and bronchoscopy. He other interests include perioperative assessment and care.
In research she recieved College accreditation on exploring the nexus between pulmonary emphysema in cystic fibrosis detected by lung densitometry on low dose computed tomography (CT) of chest at Monash Health 2014. She also contributed to research projects focusing on quality of life of patients on home based ventilatory support at Austin Health 2013.

He undertook further general cardiology training at the National Heart Centre, Singapore, returning to Flinders Medical Centre (SA) in 2006, after completing 18 months sub speciality training in Echocardiography and General Cardiology. Balan completed Cardiology specialist qualification from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2007. In 2008 he commenced 2.5 years research of heart failure and kidney impairment at The Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, Victoria. He worked on basic science and clinical research exploring uremic toxins on heart function and novel kidney biomarkers. In 2011, he took up a position as Staff Cardiologist at the Royal Darwin Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital. In the Northern Territory he started 3 ethics approved projects with the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, Alice Springs and Flinders Human Behaviour and Health Research Unit South Australia, exploring Indigenous patients’ health journey, self-management and post marketing research in heart failure. He returned to Melbourne in 2015. In addition to clinical work he continues research as a Senior Lecturer at Flinders University Northern Territory Medical School with local and external collaborators. Despite building a busy clinical practice, he is keen to maintain research interest to help close clinical gaps for heart failure in the fields of self-management, disease management programs, clinical audits and targeted bedside to bench basic research for the Western region. From his research he has received several awards and honors, such as: Australian Postgraduate Award, RACP Fellows Contribution Award, Heart Foundation and Health Professional Scholarship. He is an editor on several cardiac journals, has authored an editorial series, 25 research articles and book chapters. He is a fellow of the RACP and CSANZ.
Dr Raouf Bassily has more than 25 years experience as a clinician and more than 20 years experience as a gastroenterologist. Raouf has an interest in community gastroenterology especially Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s Disease / Ulcerative Colitis), Functional Bowel Disorders (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Coeliac disease, Colorectal cancer, and polyps. He is highly experienced in performing gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
He is a Gastroenterologist at The Northern Hospital and consults privately at GastroNorth. He commences consulting at Wallan Medical and Specialist Centre on 16th August, once a month on a Friday.
